I’m really not the least bit surprised (although this is old news at this point- so sue me). The Star Press has an agenda, and they wear it on their sleeves. I highly dislike that newspaper. In addition to their one sided stories, they charge inexcusable prices to those who require their services.

While I agree that Oxford has changed since 1962, I’m not so sure that the one’s “grandmother’s Oxford” is completely gone. I think, based on personal experiance, that there is much room for even more change and I will be interested to see just how welcomed the good senator from IL will be. This is a great site by the way!

Doing a search for articles about the Mayor during her trip to Japan on the Star Press’ page shows 10 articles in 10 days (6/5/08-6/15/08). Three of them are about the trip, two are letters to the editor, 9 of them only mention her in passing with only one focusing on one of her proposals (Plans vary on how to make public cemetery self-sustaining). None of these “unnecessary” articles were about Mayor McShurley directly or personally. You lack sufficient evidence for “unnecessary articles”. If anything there is evidence to the contrary in the Star Press’ Q&A with the Mayor series. There they seem to forget how to follow up or create good meaningful questions.

I totally agree. Kerry was such a poor choice for the Democrats in 04 that it would be follish to even consider falling back to him as VP.
